Job summary

Pilatus Aircraft in Lucerne region is seeking an NDT technician to perform non-destructive testing on aircraft parts using MT, PT, and optional RT, and to prepare inspection reports and defect documentation.

You should have technical studies in mechanical construction, Level 2 MT/PT per EN 4179, knowledge of SAP and MS Office, fluent German or English, and the ability to read assembly drawings and create inspection instructions. The role offers flexible hours and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Completed technical studies in mechanical construction.
• MT and PT Level 2 certification according to EN 4179; RT, ET, VT, UT advantageous.
• Level 3 certification according to EN 4179 is an advantage.
• Fluent German or English; English minimum level B1.
• Able to independently perform inspections according to instructions and specifications.
• Understands component and assembly drawings and able to create inspection instructions.

• Perform non-destructive testing on aircraft parts made of various materials using the following methods:
• Magnetic Particle Testing (MT)
• Penetrant Testing (PT)
• Radiographic Testing (RT) – optional
• Prepare inspection reports and inspection instructions.
• Create defect documentation and non-conformance reports.

• Completed technical studies and experience in mechanical construction
• MT and PT Level 2 certification according to EN 4179 and additional methods such as RT, ET, VT, and UT are advantageous
• Level 3 certification according to EN 4179 is an advantage.
• Good MS Office skills and SAP user knowledge and fluent German or English, written and spoken; English minimum level B1
• Able to independently perform inspections according to instructions and specifications.
