Job summary

Clera in Zürich, Switzerland, is seeking an experienced software engineer to join our AI/ML engineering team. You will build user-facing interfaces and backend services to support research workflows, with a focus on reliability and performance.

You will collaborate with researchers to design APIs, work with PostgreSQL data models, and connect applications to data pipelines, while maintaining code quality through testing and reviews.

Qualifications

• 3+ years building and maintaining applications used by others.
• 5–10+ years preferred.
• Strong TypeScript and React skills, or Python with FastAPI.
• Experience designing APIs and working with SQL and PostgreSQL.
• A practical approach to testing, debugging, and incorporating user feedback.
• Experience with annotation tools or large dataset exploration is valuable.

Join the Engineering team at an AI/ML company building applications that help researchers and domain experts create, review, and analyze research data. You will develop user-facing interfaces and backend services that support core research workflows.

• Develop APIs and PostgreSQL data models for tasks, reviews, files, and experiments.

• Work with researchers and domain experts to improve workflows, investigate bugs, and maintain performance as datasets grow.

Требования:

• At least 3 years of experience building and maintaining applications used by others, with 5 to 10 or more years preferred.
• Strong TypeScript and React skills, or Python experience with a backend framework such as FastAPI, and willingness to work across the stack.
• Experience designing APIs and working with SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
• A practical approach to testing, debugging, and incorporating user feedback, along with initiative and collaborative problem-solving.
• Experience with annotation tools, research software, or large dataset exploration is valuable.
• Familiarity with AWS, S3, background jobs, or frontend testing tools is also useful.
