Job summary

International School of the Basel Region AG in Basel seeks a dedicated Middle School Language & Literature teacher to join our Modern Languages Team for Grades 6–8 within the IB MYP framework. The role may involve teaching Science and/or Individuals & Societies in our Dual Language Programme.

Ideal candidates will have experience in an international setting, hold a classroom teaching license, and bring at least four years of teaching in middle school.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching in an international environment.
• MYP experience preferred.
• Must hold a classroom teaching license.
• Minimum four years of teaching experience in Middle School.

Responsibilities

• Teach Language & Literature to Grade 6–8 in the IB MYP.

THE POSITION

ISB seeks to appoint a passionate and dedicated Teacher of (Language and Literature) to join our Middle School Modern Languages Team. The successful candidate will teach to our Middle School students in Grades 6 to 8 within the IB Middle Years Programme. Ideally the candidate could additionally teach Science and/or Individuals & Societies in as part of our new Middle School Dual Language Programme.

Candidates applying for this role should have proven experience teaching in an international environment, ideally within an MYP context and hold a classroom teaching license and have a minimum of four years teaching experience. We will provide training to a successful candidate who does not have prior MYP experience.
