Job summary

COHERENT in Switzerland is seeking a MES Business Analyst to lead the migration of the Manufacturing Execution System to Siemens Opcenter Execution. You will bridge manufacturing, engineering, IT and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable MES configurations while preserving critical functionality.

You will participate in the wider MES team, supporting ongoing improvements of production systems, dashboards and KPI reporting to enhance operational performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Experience in semiconductor or advanced manufacturing environments.
• Hands-on experience with Siemens Opcenter Execution (Camstar) or similar MES.
• Proven ability to gather requirements and translate to MES solutions.
• Experience migrating, integrating, or upgrading MES projects.
• Knowledge of WIP, lot genealogy, traceability and production workflows.
• Familiarity with SECS/GEM, APIs and database interfaces.
• Experience with SQL, Oracle or SQL Server and reporting tools like Power BI/JMP.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent German and English.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements gathering with manufacturing, engineering, quality, and IT stakeholders.
• Analyse MES workflows, data flows, and translate into Opcenter configurations.
• Drive migration from legacy MES to Siemens Opcenter Execution with minimal disruption.
• Configure and maintain MES objects, workflows, master data, and related components.
• Coordinate implementation across departments with developers and end users.
• Support MES integrations with equipment, ERP, shop-floor apps, databases and APIs.
• Facilitate testing, validation, defect resolution, and releases.
• Develop and enhance MES reports, dashboards, and KPIs.
• Support troubleshooting and root-cause investigations across MES and production data.
• Contribute to long-term MES roadmap, governance, and continuous improvement.
