Job summary

Kusnacht Practice is seeking a dedicated Medical Nurse to join our international, high-end team in Zollikon, near Zurich. You will administer infusions, perform blood draws, manage medications, and oversee laboratory coordination to ensure top-tier patient care.

The role emphasizes precision, client-focused service, and collaboration with physicians and Live-In Counsellors. A valid driver’s license, German at least B2 and English C1, and 4+ years in healthcare are required.

Qualifications

• Completed training as FaGe EFZ or Dipl. Pflegefachperson HF/FH.
• Minimum 4 years of professional healthcare experience.
• Fluent German (B2) and/or English (C1); strong IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform venous/capillary blood draws, sample collection, urine, saliva, hair; breathalyzer tests; wound care.
• Carry out medical/BIO-R check-ups, vital signs, EKG, and document medications.
• Administer infusions and injections; coordinate treatments as required.
• Oversee labs: order tests, prepare/transport samples, liaise with partner labs.
• Prepare examination rooms and maintain clean, organized medical floors.
• Monitor and maintain medical equipment and supplies; ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Manage client medications with doctors for accuracy and use; weekly med reviews.
• Provide coverage for BIO-R team during holidays/absences; coordinate externals.
• Support other departments; assist with external exams and nursing tasks as needed.
• Coordinate external nurses and ensure coverage with doctors; liaise with pharmacy.

What are we looking for

The Kusnacht Practice is seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Nurse to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality medical care, oversee laboratory processes, and ensure the seamless coordination of nursing-related tasks. With a focus on precision, client care, and collaboration, you will play a key role in maintaining excellence across our medical and clinical services.

Responsibilities

• Conduct various sample collections, including venous and capillary blood draws, saliva, urine, and hair samples, as well as alcohol breathalyzer tests and wound care
• Perform comprehensive medical and BIO-R check-ups during onboarding and retesting, covering BMC measurement, EKG, height/weight monitoring, vital sign assessments, and medication intake documentation
• Administer infusions, injections and treatments as required
• Oversee laboratory processes by ordering blood tests, preparing and transporting samples, and coordinating with partner laboratories
• Prepare medical floors and examination rooms for client assessments to ensure a clean and organized environment
• Monitor, order, and maintain medical equipment and supplies to ensure uninterrupted medical operations
• Manage and oversee client medications, collaborating with medical doctors (TKP-Medical, Psychiatry, BIO-R) for prescription accuracy and proper medication use
• Conduct weekly medication reviews with Live-In Counsellors to verify correct medication handling and ensure medical equipment is in optimal working condition
• Assist other departments, including BIO-R and Atrium, with nursing-related tasks when needed to ensure seamless operations
• Provide coverage for the BIO-R Team (BIO-R & Medical Coordinator) during holidays or absences, ensuring continuity of care and medical services
• Assisting clients and Live-in Counsellors with preparation for external medical examinations/appointments
• Booking and coordinating external nurses
• Ensuring external nursing coverage in cooperation with doctors
• Ongoing communication with the partner pharmacy
• Coordinating medication orders and deliveries with Live-in Counsellors and chefs

Qualifications

• Completed training as "Fachangestellte/r Gesundheit (FaGe) EFZ" or Dipl. Pflegefachperson HF/FH
• At least 4 years of professional experience in a relevant healthcare setting

Required Skills

• Proven experience in placing infusions and blood draws
• Strong IT skills, including proficiency in MS Office
• Excellent communication skills in German at least B2 and/or English C1
• A high sense of responsibility, independence, and flexibility
• Strong social competence and a client-oriented mindset
• An innovative and communicative personality
• A valid driver's license (must-have)
