Job summary

The Kusnacht Practice AG is seeking an Interim Nursing Lead to head and support the nursing team, ensuring top-tier patient care and safety. You will manage daily operations, coordinate with departments and provide mentorship to staff and external providers.

You will lead the implementation of the Critical Incident Reporting System (CIRS), ensuring proper documentation, incident analysis, and continuous improvement in client care, with a strong focus on quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• Min. 5 years of professional nursing experience.
• Fluency in German and English (C1 level or higher).
• Completed training as Pflegefachperson HF/FH.
• Management experience in a similar setting is advantageous.
• Proven expertise coordinating medical services and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the nursing team to deliver high-quality care.

What are we looking for

The Kusnacht Practice has an opening for a Interim Nursing Lead. In this role, you will lead and support our nursing team to deliver the highest standards of care. You will manage daily operations, ensure seamless coordination with other departments, and provide training and mentorship to nursing staff and external service providers. With a strong focus on quality and compliance, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining excellence in patient care and service delivery. Additionally, you will be responsible for the management and implementation of the Critical Incident Reporting System (CIRS) within your area. This includes ensuring the proper documentation and analysis of incidents, fostering a culture of safety, and driving continuous improvement to enhance client care and minimize risks. You will work closely with the quality management team to address any identified issues and ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.

This position is offered on a 12-month fixed-term basis to provide maternity leave cover, with the possibility of extension beyond the initial term depending on business needs and organizational requirements.

Your Responsibilities

• Manage and support the nursing team, fostering collaboration and a high-performance culture
• Oversee daily operations, coordinate schedules, and ensure smooth collaboration with other departments
• Plan and deliver training programs for new and existing nursing staff, including Live-in Counsellors and external nurses
• Ensure compliance with medical protocols, hygiene standards, and company guidelines through regular audits and inspections
• Perform clinical tasks such as blood draws, infusions, EKGs, and medication management
• Manage incident reporting and follow-up, working with leadership to implement corrective measures
• Oversee the ordering, preparation, and transport of medical samples in collaboration with partner laboratories
• Monitor and maintain medical equipment, supplies, and hygiene standards
• Liaise with external nurses, doctors, and partner pharmacies to ensure consistent and high-quality service delivery
• Assist with onboarding and retesting of clients, including vital signs, allergy inquiries, and medical history documentation
• Develop and update internal guidelines, processes, and checklists related to nursing and medication

You are/have

• At least 5 years of professional nursing experience
• Fluency in German and English (C1 level or above)
• Completed training as “Pflegefachperson HF/FH“
• Previous management experience in a similar setting is an advantage
• Proven expertise in coordinating and managing medical services
• Experience with infusions, blood draws, and electronic documentation systems
• Strong organizational and leadership abilities
• High sense of responsibility, independence, and flexibility
• Strong social competence and customer orientation
• Assertiveness, innovation, and excellent communication skills
• Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in MS Office
• Eligibility to work in Switzerland
