• Support clinical risk assessment and patient-safety considerations and boundaries between interpretation and medical treatment responsibility.
• Contribute to DAiNA’s broader clinical strategy including real-world evidence generation and validation.

THE ROLE

As Medical Director, you will provide the clinical and oncological leadership for DAiNA’s precision‑oncology cases. You will ensure that each patient case is reviewed, interpreted and communicated in a medically sound, clinically relevant and quality‑controlled manner. You will work at the interface of treating physicians, molecular tumor boards, bioinformatics, AI/ML, wet‑lab teams and external diagnostic partners. Your role is to bring clinical context into DAiNA’s multi‑omics and functional testing workflow, helping translate complex molecular and ex‑vivo data into meaningful options for personalized cancer treatment. This position is central to building DAiNA’s clinical governance, medical review and reporting standards. Depending on the candidate profile, the role may start as a part‑time, fractional or advisory engagement and evolve into a broader permanent leadership role.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Provide medical and oncological oversight for DAiNA’s patient‑specific precision‑oncology cases.
• Review medical records, pathology reports, treatment histories, imaging summaries and other clinical information for completeness, relevance and clinical context.
• Review and contribute to clinical case summaries, molecular interpretation reports and therapy‑relevant recommendations.
• Provide medical review and sign‑off for DAiNA reports where appropriate, ensuring clarity, medical accuracy and clinical relevance.
• Translate multi‑omics findings, liquid‑biopsy signals and ex‑vivo functional testing results into oncologically meaningful hypotheses and options for discussion with treating physicians.
• Interface with treating physicians, external oncologists and molecular tumor boards, including preparation and follow‑up of case discussions.
• Support clinical risk assessment, patient‑safety considerations and appropriate boundaries between scientific interpretation, decision support and medical treatment responsibility.
• Contribute to DAiNA’s broader clinical strategy, including personalized therapeutics, monitoring concepts, real‑world evidence generation and future clinical validation.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Licensed physician, M.D. or equivalent, with board certification or advanced specialization in medical oncology, hematology/oncology or a closely related cancer‑focused discipline.
• Experience using molecular diagnostics, genomic profiling or molecular tumor boards to inform cancer treatment decisions.
• Strong understanding of modern precision oncology, including genomic alterations, pathway biology, targeted therapies, immuno‑oncology and resistance mechanisms.
• Experience reviewing clinical documentation and translating complex medical information into clear, structured and clinically useful summaries.
• Interest in building clinical governance, reporting standards and medically robust workflows in an early‑stage precision‑oncology company.

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience with molecular tumor boards, precision‑oncology programs, comprehensive genomic profiling or advanced diagnostic workups.
• Experience with personalized therapeutics, neoantigen vaccines, cell therapies, RNA‑based therapeutics, individualized treatment concepts or N=1 approaches.
• Previous experience in clinical study design, real‑world evidence generation, patient registries or clinical validation of diagnostic/decision‑support platforms.
