Cytiva, a Danaher operating company, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (m/f/d) to enhance the product portfolio in close collaboration with cross-functional teams. The role is based on-site in Signy, Switzerland, reporting to the Senior Manager, Software Engineering within the Cell Therapy R&D department.

You will work on high-impact biomedical software, lead architectural decisions, and drive improvements across multiple products while complying with stringent quality systems and standards.

Qualifikationen

• University degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or equivalent.
• 15+ years of work experience with 5+ years in a senior role.
• Strong architectural and technical leadership, able to drive decisions across multiple products.
• Experience in regulated environments (medical devices, life sciences, biopharma).
• Fluent in English; French a plus.

• Develop and maintain high-quality software design and architecture.
• Participate in development and improvement of existing products following QMS.
• Provide SDLC support (requirements, design, implementation, reviews, testing, documentation, V&V).

The Senior Software Engineer (m/f/d) is responsible for improving the existing product portfolio in strong collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders by driving the design of new solutions.
This position reports to the Senior Manager, Software Engineering and is part of the Cell Therapy R&D department located in Signy, Switzerland and will be an on-site role.

What You Will Do

• Develop and maintain high-quality software design and architecture
• Participate in development and improvement of existing products following our QMS
• Provide support in all stages of the SDLC (requirements analysis, design, implementation, reviews, unit and integration testing, documentation, V&V)
• Close R&D collaboration with the project manager, engineering, and biology teams
• Lead technical investigations on complex problems
• Ensure compliance with ISO13485 or ISO9001 standards and other QMS requirements

Who You Are

• University degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or equivalent
• 15+ years of work experience (5+ years in a senior role) with the strong knowledge of C# and C/C++
• Strong architectural and technical leadership skills, with the ability to drive technical decisions across multiple products and teams
• Experience working in regulated environments (e.g. medical devices, life sciences, biopharmaceutical manufacturing, or other compliance-driven industries)
• Fluent in English; French is a plus

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in

• Applicable standards and quality systems such as IEC 62304, ISO 14971, ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR Part 820, and GxP-compliant software development practices.
