The Medical Affairs Manager (individual contributor role) will provide medical leadership in hepatology/gastroenterology and across the Alfasigma portfolio in Switzerland, facilitating optimal scientific exchange through active in-field engagement with external Experts and societies, leading local medical strategy, ensuring compliance, and supporting publications and evidence generation with a patient centric mindset.

In this role, you will report to the Country Lead Switzerland and will closely work together with the local cross‑functional Team as well as the Global Medical Affairs Team with a dotted reporting line to the global medical affair lead.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be a scientific expert in our various therapeutic areas and exchange clinical and scientific information with the HCP community as well as insights with our Local Team.
  • Lead the development and execution of the Swiss medical strategy for the specified Product/Disease Area together with the brand team and in line with our local imperatives.
  • Drive KOL management to establish and maintain ongoing scientific collaborative relationships with HCPs, medical societies and patient advocacy groups.
  • Initiate and lead the implementation of medical education projects
  • National congresses coverage including staffing exhibits and reporting on scientific sessions.
  • Provide clinical and scientific presentations to internal and external audience, including scientific and product training to colleagues and sales team as well as support for content development and delivery of Advisory Boards.
  • As needed, you provide medical review to promotional and non‑promotional materials.
  • Be the local contact person for Global Medical Affairs
  • Ensure that Corporate initiatives and processes are implemented on local level as needed
  • Design and perform medical Trainings
  • Respond to medical enquiries
  • Assure that promotional activities are performed according to Swiss legislation, and Pharmacodex
  • Contribute to local compliance and ethics initiatives
  • Perform medical assessment of ICSR’s
  • Perform medical assessment of Named Patient Treatment Refund et Named Patient Supply
Requirements
  • Advanced scientific degree (MD/PharmD/PhD)
  • Proven MSL/Medical Advisor experience (ideally 3–5 years, flexible)
  • Strong communication skills and fluent in German/French/English
  • Patient‑centric mindset, business acumen and ability to work in a cross‑functional team
