Job summary

Comet AG, a Swiss technology leader, seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer for its Plasma Control Technologies division. You will design components for vacuum capacitors and RF generators, specify tolerances, and validate designs with FEM simulations.

Expect to collaborate on high-tech systems used in memory chips and touch screens, with a focus on precision, reliability, and efficiency. The role offers opportunities for growth and on-site collaboration in Switzerland.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent HF design qualification.
• Excellent SolidWorks CAD skills and PLM experience.
• Knowledge of joining technology (brazing), high-voltage, and vacuum tech is a plus.
• Fluent German and English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical components for vacuum capacitors and RF generators; define tolerances.
• Create and evaluate tolerance stack-up analyses for alignment and reliability.
• Perform thermal and structural FEM simulations to optimize the design.
