EH Group is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to develop the cell and stack architecture at the heart of our compact, high power density fuel cell products. You will design components, produce 3D models and drawings, and ensure manufacturing readiness while collaborating with R&D and production teams.
The role requires a BSc/MSc in mechanical engineering, 4–5 years of relevant experience, and expertise in SolidWorks, GD&T, and DFM/DFA.

To help achieve our vision of a decarbonised future we are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to develop the cell and stack architecture at the heart of our compact, high power density fuel cell products.
Design/conceptualise fuel cell stack components such end plates, compression and clamping hardware
Produce 3D models, detailed drawings and tolerancing (GD&T) with stack tolerance analysis
Apply design-for-manufacture and design-for-assembly principles to stack components
Support prototyping, stack build, leak and performance testing
Work coordination between R&D and production team
Work with various suppliers for component orders
Maintain BOMs, work with PDM and engineering changes in PLM
BSc/MSc in mechanical engineering is mandatory
Minimum 4-5 years of mechanical design experience in an engineering hardware business; fuel cells or electrolysers an advantage
Proficiency with 3D CAD (ex. SolidWorks) and in-depth understanding of GD&T
Understanding of DFM/DFA and of thin-metal forming, coating, laser welding and joining processes
In-depth understanding of thermofluidic and aspects related to fuel cells
Able to own a design end-to-end while working closely with team members
Knowledge of sealing design, flow distribution, contact pressure or materials corrosion is a plus
Team player able to work autonomously with internal and external experts
Excellent spoken and written English is mandatory; French/German is a plus
