Zusammenfassung

CERN is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for the LHCb project to contribute to CAD modelling and digital twin methods. You will work with physicists, engineers, and technicians to translate concepts into practical solutions and produce 3D models, drawings, and specification documents for installation planning and operation.

The role involves expertise in 3D CAD, CATIA V5, and ISO GPS standards, with onsite work in Switzerland.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Familiarity with CATIA V5 and 3D CAD standards (ISO GPS).
• Experience creating 3D models and 2D drawings.
• Ability to work in an international, multidisciplinary team.
• Interest in digital twin concepts and 3D web visualization is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Contribute to conceptual design and development of mechanical systems.
• Translate requirements into engineering solutions with scientists and technicians.
• Produce engineering documentation, specs, 3D models and drawings.
• Support manufacturing, assembly, testing and installation.
• Initial experience with 3D CAD and CATIA V5 preferred.
