CERN in Geneva invites applications for an engineer to join the LHCb design office. You will contribute to CAD modelling of the LHCb detector and help develop digital twin methodologies that support installation planning, maintenance, and operation for upcoming milestones.

Your responsibilities include designing mechanical systems, translating requirements into practical solutions, producing drawings and specifications, and supporting manufacturing, assembly, testing, and installation.

Qualifikationen

• 0-2 years of professional experience since graduation.
• Must have a university degree and cannot hold a PhD.

You will join the LHCb Technical Coordination section of the LHCb group. You will be part of the LHCb design office, contributing to the CAD modelling of the LHCb detector and helping to develop LHCb digital mock-up and digital twin methodologies that will support installation planning, maintenance, and operation for the next milestones of the experiment.

Be sure to meet the eligibility criteria

• You are a national of a CERN Member State or Associate Member State . Currently, we cannot consider applications from Pakistani, Lithuanian, Latvian, Cypriot, Croatian and Turkish nationals, as the ceiling defined under Article II.5 of the Associate Membership Agreement has been reached.
• By the application deadline, you have a maximum of 2 years of professional experience since graduation in the respective field and your highest educational qualification is either a bachelor’s or master’s degree. You must have a university degree and can’t hold a PhD.
• You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
