Job summary

WHD Consulting Ltd. in Nidwalden, Switzerland, is seeking a Materials and Processes Engineer (Permanent) to lead metal materials and assembly process initiatives within a multidisciplinary team.

The role focuses on qualification testing, documentation, and ensuring compliance with aerospace regulations (EASA, FAA, FOCA) and environmental standards (REACH/RoHS). Fluency in German and English at B2 is required.

Qualifications

• MSc in Materials Science, Materials Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong expertise in metallic materials and assembly processes.
• German and English at B2 level.
• Analytical problem-solving for complex technical challenges.

• Effective teamwork and interpersonal communication.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute qualification test programs and implement new metallic materials, assembly technologies and processes
• Compile and revise technical documentation such as Process Specifications, Engineering Standards and Engineering Reports
• Lead materials and process projects in the field of Metals and Assembly
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate materials and processes into product design
• Support Engineering, Production, Quality and Customer Support in metallic materials and process topic as well as in material failure analysis
• Ensure compliance of materials and processes with EASA, FAA and FOCA regulations as well as with environmental and regulatory standards such as REACH and RohS
