The Polymer Laboratory within CERN's Superconducting Magnet Technology section in Geneva is seeking to contribute to the development and qualification of advanced polymer and composite materials for high-field magnets.

You will participate in design, validation and implementation of materials for cryogenic operation, high-voltage insulation and radiation resistance, expanding the capabilities of the laboratory and enabling novel processing techniques.

Competenze

• Experience in material characterisation techniques, such as mechanical, thermal or chemical analyses.
• Experience in composite and/or polymer processing techniques.
• Knowledge of superconducting magnet construction and technologies, or of materials for cryogenic, high-voltage or radiation…
