Job summary

Schindler Locarno in Ticino, Switzerland is seeking a Material Planner (m/f/d) 80-100% to determine required materials and generate purchase orders, ensuring inbound costs stay under control to support internal production.

The role requires a Bachelor degree in Engineering, Economy or Math, at least 2 years in procurement or material planning in multinational settings, and advanced SAP MM and Excel skills, plus fluency in Italian and English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering, Economy or Math.
• At least 2 years experience in multinational, structured companies in procurement or material planning.
• Advanced knowledge of SAP MM and Excel.
• Fluent in Italian and English; German is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Determine required materials and generate purchase orders to source per lead time and control inbound cost.
• Balance inventory levels, inbound costs and customer service to maximize internal production service.
• Ensure consistent and adequate supply of materials for internal production.
• Manage inventory issues, schedule changes and cancellations.
• Liaise with customer support, suppliers and distributors, maintaining good relationships.
• Manage master data and SAP data to ensure accuracy and extract insights.
