Zusammenfassung

The Functional Genomics Center Zurich (FGCZ) seeks a Research Software Engineer to advance mass spectrometry data analysis and develop reproducible pipelines. You will maintain existing workflows and build new pipelines, collaborating with wet-lab and bioinformatics teams to support researchers at ETH Zurich and the University of Zurich.

Qualifikationen

• Academic background in computer science, statistics, biology, or related fields.
• Master’s degree; PhD is considered an asset.
• Proficiency with Windows and Linux, including command line interfaces.
• Experience with programming languages and Git tooling.

Aufgaben

• Maintain and develop mass spectrometry data processing and analysis pipelines for proteomics and metabolomics.
• Apply informatics and data science to ensure reproducibility of data analysis.
• Support collaboration with ETH Zurich and University of Zurich through back-office and user-facing bioinformatics tasks.
