Job summary

WinGD Ltd. in Winterthur, Switzerland, seeks an Engine Expert to advise on-site commissioning and troubleshooting while overseeing field activities and safety compliance.

The role requires hands-on experience with 2-stroke engines, automation systems, and strong English communication skills. The candidate will maintain records, manage hours and invoicing data, and collaborate with engineers to resolve complex technical issues.

Qualifications

• MSc in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Experience with 2-stroke engine service and operation (including automation systems and electronics).
• Hands-on field operation experience with safety standards.
• Ability to document and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Advise and consult on-site commissioning tasks and troubleshooting activities.
• Maintain accurate records of field activities, including service and working reports, maintenance logs and observations for reference and compliance.
• Ensure hours recording, project controlling and data forwarding for invoicing.
• Adhere to safety standards and regulatory requirements during all field activities.
• Work with other engineers and share insights to solve complex technical issues.
• Continuously update own and others' technical skills through training on marine engine technology.
