Lonza in Visp, Switzerland is expanding and seeks several Manufacturing Specialists to perform upstream or downstream processing activities within a cGMP environment. You will execute batch activities, support equipment, document records, and collaborate across shifts.

The role requires a degree in biotechnology or related field, knowledge of biotech processes, strong teamwork, and fluency in English (German a plus).

Qualifikationen

• Completed chemical/biopharmaceutical education or degree in Biotechnology or related field.
• Knowledge of biotechnological processes in microbial or mammalian cultivation or protein purification.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills; solution-oriented.
• Fluency in English; German is a plus.
• Open to work in a 4-shift system.
• Basic GMP understanding is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Perform manufacturing activities in Upstream or Downstream areas per cGMP guidelines.
• Support SHE, Environmental Monitoring, risk assessment and CAPA implementation.
• Assist document preparation (batch records, SOPs) for the production area.
• Review production documentation and work on deviations, change requests and CAPA implementation.
• Contribute to capital investment projects for building and commissioning of new manufacturing units; provide input for setup and qualification of suites and equipment.
• Train manufacturing staff on specific equipment or standard operating procedures.
