Zusammenfassung

Syngenta's Muttenz site is seeking a temporary Manufacturing Excellence Manager to diagnose and transform production operations by embedding new ways of working and delivering breakthrough improvements in productivity and reliability.

You will deploy the Syngenta Production System (SPS), train leaders, coach teams, and build sustainable capabilities across sites while focusing on cost, throughput, and performance KPIs.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in Manufacturing, Operations, Production, Maintenance, CI, or Operational Excellence.
• Proven track record of improving productivity, OEE, reliability, quality, or throughput.
• Hands-on with Lean Manufacturing, TPM, CI, Performance Management, and structured problem-solving.
• Experience leading transformation initiatives in Chemicals, Agrochemicals, Pharmaceuticals, Life Sciences, FMCG, or process manufacturing.

For our Client, a leading crop protection company based in Muttenz, we are looking for temporary Manufacturing Excellence Manager (all genders)

Purpose

Support manufacturing organizations in diagnosing and transforming production operations by embedding new ways of working and delivering breakthrough improvements in productivity, reliability, cost, and operational performance. You will help deploy the Syngenta Production System (SPS) while building sustainable capabilities across manufacturing sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct rapid diagnostics in Production Performance, Maintenance, Cost Management, and Mindset & Behaviours to identify improvement opportunities and define implementation roadmaps.
• Drive productivity, efficiency, and operational excellence initiatives across manufacturing sites.
• Train and coach employees and leaders on Syngenta Production System standards and best practices.
• Support local Manufacturing Excellence teams in developing capabilities and embedding sustainable ways of working.
• Promote data-driven performance management through KPIs, visual management, and structured problem solving.
• Collaborate with functional experts to deploy and standardize tools, processes, and behaviours across the organization.
• Conduct SPS audits and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Coach leaders and influence teams to successfully deliver operational transformation.

Your Profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in Manufacturing, Operations, Production, Maintenance, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence.
• Proven track record of delivering measurable improvements in productivity, OEE, reliability, quality, cost, or throughput.
• Hands-on experience with Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Continuous Improvement, Performance Management Systems, and structured problem-solving methodologies.
• Experience leading operational transformation initiatives within Chemicals, Agrochemicals, Pharmaceuticals, Life Sciences, FMCG, Food & Beverage, or other process manufacturing industries.
• Strong ability to influence and coach teams without direct authority.
• Excellent facilitation, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Analytical, data-driven, and results-oriented mindset.Lean Six Sigma certification is an advantage.
