Ateca Executive Search is seeking a Managing Director for our confidential clients’ private banking franchises in Switzerland, with a strong international footprint and UHNW/HNW focus. The Zurich or Geneva office will host a senior leader with extensive cross-border experience and a proven network.

This role requires proven leadership of private bankers and a substantial portable client book, with a track record of AUM growth and regulatory compliance across FINMA frameworks.

Qualifikationen

• 15+ years of private banking or wealth management experience with a leading Swiss or international private bank.
• Proven experience leading and developing a team of relationship managers (Director/MD level).
• Portion of UHNW/HNW client book with cross-border coverage.
• Strong understanding of FINMA regulations and cross-border compliance frameworks.

• Manage and grow a significant portfolio of UHNW/HNW clients with cross-border coverage across Europe, the Middle East, and/or other key regions.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of private bankers/relationship managers, driving overall team performance and business growth.
• Originate new business through your own network as well as team- and firm-wide referral channels.
• Partner with senior management on strategic market positioning, business planning, and growth initiatives.
• Deliver tailored wealth management, investment, and banking solutions in coordination with product and investment specialists.
• Ensure full compliance with FINMA regulatory, cross-border, and AML/KYC requirements across the team's portfolio.
• Represent the institution at a senior level within the Swiss and international private banking community.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a significant portfolio of UHNW/HNW clients, with cross-border coverage across Europe, the Middle East, and/or other key regions
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of private bankers/relationship managers, driving overall team performance and business growth
• Originate new business through your own network as well as team- and firm-wide referral channels
• Partner with senior management on strategic market positioning, business planning, and growth initiatives

What You Bring

• 15+ years of private banking / wealth management experience with a leading Swiss or international private bank
• Proven experience leading and developing a team of relationship managers, ideally at Director/MD level
• A substantial portable book of UHNW/HNW clients, ideally with cross-border coverage
• Strong track record of AUM growth, revenue generation, and team/desk P&L management
• Deep understanding of FINMA regulations and cross-border compliance frameworks
• Fluency in English required; German, French, or additional languages a strong plus
• Existing Swiss work authorization/residency preferred
