Job summary

coni + partner ag in Geneva seeks an experienced risk specialist to become Manager OpRisk Processes Private Banking, focusing on ICS and RCSA in a banking setting. The role requires a finance/economics degree and strong analytical abilities.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Economics.
• CIA or CPA certification would be an advantage.
• Professional experience in internal controls or process risk management at a bank, in auditing or in consultancy for banks.
• Experience in adapting, changing or implementing a regulatory risk framework.
• Analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze data relating to the private bank’s ICS, including RCSA.
• Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of the operational risk framework.
• Optimize documentation, processes, frameworks and systems and document risks.
• Collect internal and external loss data and run scenario analyses.
• Lead risk reviews and coordinate adjustments to changing risk scenarios and tests.
• Develop ICS reporting framework for Legal & Compliance and deliver training.
• Support for Legal & Compliance, Internal Audit and supervisory authorities.
• Engage in dialogue with the three lines of defence.

Manager OpRisk Processes Private Banking

Your Tasks

• Monitoring and analysis of data relating to the private bank’s internal control system (ICS), including the risk-based control approach and self-assessment systems (RCSA)
• Assessment of the adequacy and effectiveness of the operational risk framework
• Continuous optimisation of documentation, processes, frameworks and systems, as well as the identification, prioritisation and documentation of risks (e.g. in the areas of operations, IT/cyber, legal and compliance)
• Responsibility for the transparent collection of internal and external loss data, supplemented by ongoing scenario analyses
• Initiation of the relevant risk reviews, as well as the coordination and implementation of adjustments in response to changing risk scenarios, monitoring the implementation of measures and conducting control tests
• Further development of theICS reporting framework for Legal & Compliance
• Design and delivery ofICS and RCSA training courses to promote risk awareness
• Providing support for specialist teams, the Legal & Compliance division, Internal Audit and the supervisory authorities
• Ongoing dialogue and meetings with the three lines of defence.

Your Profile

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Economics
• CIA or CPA certification would be an advantage
• Professional experience in the field of internal controls or process risk management at a bank, in auditing or in consultancy for banks
• Experience in adapting, changing or implementing a regulatory risk framework
• Analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail
• Team-oriented approach and a strong understanding of how to interact with people at various organisational levels
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure, and to think in a structured and holistic manner
• Excellent communication skills
• IT skills and very good knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Fluent in English; knowledge of German would be an advantage
• Current place of residence in Switzerland.
