Job summary

Galaxus Germany GmbH, the top Swiss e-commerce platform, is seeking a Manager Operations Planning for our Neuenburg site. You will design and run the labour planning system, turning historical productivity data into weekly plans that keep logistics operations moving smoothly.

This role sits at the crossroads of analytics, operations coordination, and project delivery. You'll deliver a detailed 21-day outlook, adjust for volume shifts, and activate short-term capacity levers.

Qualifications

  • Degree from university or applied sciences in a relevant field, or equivalent further education with experience in workforce planning, demand forecasting, or supply chain management.
  • Strong analytical skills, ideally backed by relevant training or certifications. You're comfortable building planning models and translating data into actionable insights.
  • Hands‑on experience in project management, ideally in logistics or infrastructure projects.
  • Fluent written and spoken German and English.
  • Confident use of Excel and planning or BI tools. Experience with warehouse management systems or workforce scheduling tools is a plus.
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes to enhance productivity and effectiveness.
  • Maintaining resilience and agility while adjusting strategies as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Design and operate the site's labour planning system, built on historic productivity data, attendance patterns, and volume forecasts.
  • Deliver a detailed weekly staffing plan and maintain a rolling 21-day capacity outlook, adjusting for volume shifts, planned downtime, and staff availability.
  • When gaps appear, you identify and activate short-term capacity levers — fixes that work now without creating headaches later.
  • Analyse seasonal volume trends and connect them with hiring lead times to build ramp-up plans for peak periods.
  • Prepare analyses, calculations, and decision material for the Site Lead: translating data into recommendations that are clear enough to act on.
  • Own small and medium-sized logistics projects from start to finish and contribute to larger cross-functional initiatives.
  • Keep stakeholders in the loop with regular, structured updates on KPIs, productivity, and capacity utilisation. No one likes surprises when it comes to numbers

As our Manager Operations Planning, you're the person who makes sure the right people are in the right place at the right time. You build and run the labour planning system for our logistics site in Neuenburg, turning data into weekly plans that keep operations running smoothly. Your skills
