The Manager, International Business Systems

will lead a team of application analysts, system administrators, and testers and is a key leader in the International IT team at Abbott Cancer Diagnostics. The role is responsible for the support, stability, and continuous improvement of the business applications that underpin the International Business Unit’s critical Order to Cash (O2C) processes, principally Salesforce (SFDC), from customer and order management through to invoicing. The holder will also need to collaborate closely with technical teams from across IT, including Salesforce development, integration, architecture, infrastructure, security, data and global IT services, to ensure changes are well designed, delivered and supported.

As our International Business grows, this role will help our critical business systems scale to new markets, products and partners while continuing to deliver the value the business expects. The role is based in our office at Neuhofstrasse 22 in Baar (ZG), Switzerland.

  • Demonstrate an understanding of business strategy and the ability to translate this into user stories, business requirements, and feature requests.
  • Manage the International Order to Cash (O2C) application portfolio, principally Salesforce, and lead the team with business analysis and gathering user feedback to define application requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as engineering, infrastructure, and vendors to ensure successful application releases, including testing and change management. Job Description Manager, International Business Systems
  • Lead large-scale projects on behalf of the International IT team, contributing to new product launches and the geographic expansion of International Business. Contribute to vendor and budget management, working closely with external vendors to ensure best-in-class implementations and architectures, and with Finance to plan, track, and control spend.
  • Lead tracking product performance using metrics and analytics to support ongoing optimization and iteration.
  • Be a resource for and mentor team members of varying degrees of seniority by providing insight, recommendations, and guidance on application management best practices.
  • Maintain strong relationships and transparency with key stakeholders across multiple functions and at all levels of the company.
  • Represent the application management discipline in cross-functional initiatives, as assigned by Management, and act on its behalf as appropriate.
  • Effectively manage, support, and guide the team, including, but not limited to delegating tasks and responsibilities, assessing employee performance and providing helpful feedback and training opportunities.
  • Drive technical solutioning and tough decision making while balancing business goals, technical impact, budgets, and timelines.
  • Apply strong attention to detail and be quality oriented with the ability to see the big picture.
  • Consistent demonstration of exceptional leadership qualities, including, but not limited to the ability to attract and retain the best team, foster a culture of high performance, lead with integrity, humility, accountability, and courage, and set a clear vision to energize teams towards the future.
