Job summary

UNICEF is seeking an Interagency People-Centered Humanitarian Action Consultant to strengthen localization, accountability to affected populations, and community engagement at Geneva-based and interagency levels. The consultant will analyze approaches, identify gaps, and produce knowledge products and recommendations.

The assignment requires extensive experience in humanitarian coordination, policy review, and the creation of learning briefs for humanitarian actors.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree required in humanitarian affairs, international development, social sciences or related field.
• At least 10 years of relevant humanitarian experience with focus on AAP, community engagement, inclusion or localization.
• Experience with interagency coordination mechanisms (IASC or equivalent) and knowledge products for humanitarian audiences.

Responsibilities

• Conduct stocktaking and analysis of agency and country approaches; identify gaps and good practices.
• Develop knowledge products, syntheses and recommendations for interagency learning.
• Facilitate learning and dialogue across interagency platforms to promote accountable, inclusive action.
