Zusammenfassung

Helvetica Partners, a Swiss financial institution based in Geneva, seeks a Legal Advisor to provide proactive legal support across the organization. You will work with the Head of Legal & Compliance to advise departments, manage files and documentation, and mitigate legal and regulatory risks.

The role collaborates with Compliance, drafts and negotiates banking and security documentation, and supports Commodity Trade Finance, Wealth Management and Financial Institutions activities.

Qualifikationen

• 8–10+ years of relevant professional experience in the Swiss banking sector.
• Strong experience and knowledge of Commodity Trade Finance – mandatory.
• Good understanding of banking regulatory and compliance matters.
• Very good knowledge of the Swiss banking environment and applicable laws and regulations.
• Excellent legal analysis, drafting and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Autonomous, well organized and pragmatic approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of professional integrity and discretion.
• Comfortable with standard IT and MS Office tools.
• Fluent French and English, both written and spoken.
• Swiss residency required.

Aufgaben

• Provide legal advice and guidance to the Bank's various departments on a broad range of legal matters.
• Handle civil, criminal and administrative requests, investigations and proceedings involving relevant authorities.
• Draft, review and negotiate legal agreements, banking documentation and security documentation.
• Provide legal support to Commodity Trade Finance, Wealth Management and Financial Institutions activities.
• Review internal rules, directives and forms to ensure compliance with applicable legislation.
• Conduct legal research and provide practical recommendations on Swiss banking matters.
• Negotiate and finalize legal documentation with clients and their legal representatives.
• Handle client succession-related files.
• Coordinate with and monitor external legal counsel on banking matters and litigation.
• Monitor developments in Swiss laws and regulations relevant to the Bank's activities.
• Identify new legal requirements and support their implementation internally.
• Provide support to the Compliance function on cross-functional matters.
• Prepare legal reports, minutes and internal documentation.
• Organize internal legal training when required.
• Act as a back-up to the Head of Legal & Compliance on legal matters.
