Lead Software Engineer, AI-Assisted Development

Planned start: November 2026 | Initial six-month project with extension option

We are looking for a hands-on Lead Software Engineer to guide application delivery using AI coding agents. Working directly with business stakeholders, you will turn emerging requirements into reliable software and support the development of other engineers.

Your responsibilities include:

• Lead technical delivery from initial problem definition through implementation, deployment and operational readiness.
• Establish review and testing standards for AI-generated code.
• Break complex business needs into manageable deliverables and make practical architecture decisions.
• Mentor engineers and turn successful delivery approaches into reusable patterns.

You bring:

• At least eight years of software engineering experience, including current production use of AI coding agents.
• Strong Java skills and experience with containerised applications and on-premises Kubernetes.
• Experience working closely with business stakeholders and owning delivery through to production.
• Strong code review, testing and mentoring skills. Quarkus and Angular experience would be advantageous.
• Fluent German.

The assignment requires work from Switzerland, including at least two days onsite per week.
