SIX Group is seeking an AI Software Architect in Zurich with the ability to shape and execute the AI software development life cycle within a regulated financial market infrastructure. You will design reference patterns, tooling, and quality gates for AI-augmented and agentic development, and drive adoption across teams.

Qualifikationen

• 8+ years in software engineering with hands-on SDLC experience.
• Strong systems and architecture thinking in regulated environments.
• Hands-on AI harness, LLM APIs, agent frameworks; Claude Code experience a plus.
• Proven impact through influencing teams without authority.
• Fluent in English; German a plus.

Aufgaben

• Translate the AI software engineering strategy into practice. Design, prototype and harden the reference patterns, tooling and reusable components that make AI SDLC real across SIX.
• Set the deepest technical standards for AI-based development: prompt and agent patterns, code review of AI-generated code, and the quality and security gates that make it safe in a regulated FMI.
• Support and execute the people transformation journey, evolving developer roles, team structures, processes and ways of working to unlock the full potential of AI-augmented software engineering
• Run lighthouse engagements hands-on: understand the process of business-unit software teams, baseline and measure impact on real backlogs, and prove value before scaling.
• Drive adoption across teams you don't manage. Coach senior engineers, win over skeptics, and lead the community of practice across CH, ES, PL and IN.

Shape and execute the AI SDLC at SIX · reports to Head of Software Engineering Practices

Agentic AI is changing how software gets built — and at SIX, it will touch the work of more than thousand engineers. As AI Software Architect, you will set the technical direction for this shift: designing the reference patterns, tooling, and quality gates that make AI-augmented and agentic development safe and effective in a regulated financial market infrastructure, and driving adoption across teams you don't manage.

What You Will Do

• Translate the AI software engineering strategy into working practice. Design, prototype and harden the reference patterns, tooling and reusable components that make AI SDLC (augmented, agentic) real across SIX.
• Set the deepest technical standards for AI-based development: prompt and agent patterns, code review of AI-generated code, and the quality and security gates that make it safe in a regulated FMI.
• Support and execute the people transformation journey, evolving developer roles, team structures, processes and ways of working to unlock the full potential of AI-augmented software engineering
• Run lighthouse engagements hands-on: understand the process of business-unit software teams, baseline and measure impact on real backlogs, and prove value before scaling.

What You Bring

• 8+ years in software engineering with deep with current hands-on expertise across the entire SDLC. You still design software systems, write and review code, and engineers trust your technical judgment.
• Strong systems and architecture thinking across the end-to-end SDLC, and sound judgment on putting AI into a regulated, business-critical environment
• Hands-on experience with AI harness, LLM APIs and agent frameworks, including building custom workflows when off-the-shelf falls short. Claude Code hands-on experience in production is a plus.
• A track record of driving change through influence, not authority. You've won over skeptical senior engineers and spread practice across teams you didn't manage.
• Excellent stakeholder management, low ego and a teaching instinct — equally credible in a design review with a principal engineer and a risk conversation with security; fluent in English, German a plus.
