Zusammenfassung

ETH Zurich's Ultrafast Spectroscopy and Attosecond Science group invites applications for a fully funded postdoctoral position focused on attosecond chiroptical pump-probe spectroscopy within the Attochirality ERC Advanced Grant.

The successful candidate will lead the new optical platform for circularly polarized attosecond pulses, implement CEP stabilization, spin-resolved detection, and collaborate with engineers and international theory groups to advance time-resolved chiral dynamics.

Qualifikationen

• PhD in a relevant experimental field and a strong publication record.
• Independent experimental research experience in related areas.

Aufgaben

• Lead the realization and commissioning of the optical platform for circularly polarized attosecond pulses with CEP stabilization.
• Develop and validate methods for temporal and polarization characterization of attosecond pulses using momentum-resolved photoelectron measurements.
• Integrate spin-resolved electron detection.
• Coordinate reaction-microscope experiments on chiral electronic dynamics.
• Mentor doctoral and Master’s researchers in alignment, detector operation, data analysis and best practices.
• Collaborate with engineers and external groups on spin detection and theoretical modeling.
• Contribute to project planning, publications, conferences and dissemination of results.
