University of Bern invites applications for a 2-year postdoctoral position at the interface of frequency-comb technology, laser spectroscopy, atmospheric physics, isotope science, and climate research.

The role includes access to excellent laser lab infrastructure and research stations in the Swiss Alps, with a visible role in a new interdisciplinary initiative and the potential for high-impact publications and follow-up funding.

Qualifikationen

• PhD in physics, photonics, optical engineering, atmospheric physics, or a related field.
• Strong experimental background in ultrafast optics, laser spectroscopy, frequency-comb technology, remote sensing, or related areas.
• Independence, excellent project management skills and enthusiasm for interdisciplinary climate research.
• Experience with dual-comb spectroscopy, nonlinear frequency conversion, free-space optical links, atmospheric sensing, or field-deployed instrumentation.
