SIX Digital Assets in Zürich is seeking a Senior Observability Engineer to design, deploy, and operate observability and AIOps as a core capability across teams.

You will lead onboarding, establish telemetry standards, create actionable insights, and ensure reliable services through OpenTelemetry instrumentation and pipelines. This role collaborates with platform, product, and application teams to improve incident detection and operational decision-making in cloud-native environments.

Qualifikationen

• 8+ years of hands-on observability/SRE experience with production responsibilities
• Production-ready observability solutions; dashboards/queries alone are not enough
• Practical OpenTelemetry instrumentation for traces, metrics, and logs
• Strong understanding of modern trace-centric observability
• Experience with OpenTelemetry Collectors and telemetry pipelines is a plus
• Kubernetes-based deployments in cloud-native environments
• Experience with Elastic, Grafana, Dynatrace, Datadog, AppDynamics, etc.
• Scripting/automation using Helm, Terraform, Ansible

Aufgaben

• Design, deploy, and operate observability and AIOps capabilities in cloud-native/hybrid environments
• Lead onboarding of teams, set telemetry standards for instrumentation, SLIs, SLOs, and alerting with OpenTelemetry
• Collaborate with engineering/SRE/ops to translate requirements into observability and automation solutions
• Install, configure, and maintain OpenTelemetry Collectors and telemetry pipelines
• Build dashboards, alerting, and telemetry flows across tracing, metrics, and logs
• Run and evolve observability services to support incident detection and decision-making
• Design and maintain integrations with event management and ticketing systems for alerts
