Zusammenfassung

Leonteq is seeking a Lead IT Architect to shape the technology landscape supporting our business growth in Zurich. You will work with business stakeholders, software engineering teams, and infrastructure specialists to translate needs into secure, scalable technology solutions.

You’ll define our target architecture, guide key technical decisions, lead and mentor engineering teams, ensure governance and standards, and drive the evolution of the enterprise application landscape across projects.

Qualifikationen

• Master’s degree in CS, IT, or related field.
• Extensive experience in software/enterprise architecture.
• Proven leadership of software engineering teams.
• Strong knowledge of cloud, APIs, and distributed systems.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication.

• Define and maintain the target architecture for business applications and technology platforms in line with the company's strategic objectives.
• Design end-to-end technology solutions that are scalable, secure, resilient, and aligned with enterprise architecture principles.
• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance across software development initiatives.
• Lead and mentor software engineering teams, fostering collaboration, innovation, and engineering excellence.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Drive the evolution of the enterprise application landscape and contribute to the long-term technology roadmap.
• Establish and promote architecture standards, development best practices, and solution governance across projects.
• Review solution designs to ensure consistency with security, performance, scalability, integration, and compliance requirements.
• Support the successful delivery of strategic technology initiatives by providing architectural oversight and technical decision-making.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, innovation, and operational resilience.
• Coach and support engineers and technical leads, encouraging knowledge sharing, continuous learning, and professional development.
• Develop and maintain architecture documentation, standards, and technical roadmaps.
• Ensure technology solutions comply with relevant regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry best practices.

What you'll need

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in software architecture, enterprise architecture, solution architecture, or a senior software engineering role within a complex IT environment.
• Proven experience leading software engineering initiatives and mentoring technical teams, with the ability to inspire collaboration and drive high performance.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, system integration, cloud technologies, APIs, distributed systems, and modern software development practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to balance strategic thinking and pragmatic solution design.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.
• Knowledge of financial markets, trading operations, and related regulatory requirements is an advantage.
• High level of flexibility, initiative, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
