Qualifications

• University degree in physics, medical physics or a related field.
• Swiss certification in medical physics or an equivalent qualification recognized in Switzerland.
• Substantial professional experience in radiotherapy.
• Demonstrable leadership, communication and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to set direction, think strategically, establish priorities, delegate responsibilities and monitor team activities.
• Inspiring and empowering leadership style.
• Strong aptitude for working in interdisciplinary and multicultural teams and building on individual strengths, all this in a collaborative spirit.
• Ability to work effectively in a complex and fast-paced clinical and scientific environment.
• Excellent command of English; working knowledge of German is an advantage.
• Willingness to work irregular hours in accordance with patient treatment schedules.

Responsibilities

• Technical, organizational and personnel leadership of the Clinical Medical Physics Group and of the Therapy Planning team (therapy planning is integrated into the medical physics groups).
• Responsibility for the group budget, clinical duty service, working time monitoring and absence planning.
• Coordination of the technical and administrative exchange of information across all organizational units.
• Coaching and individual development of team members.
• Clinical operational responsibility for medical physics activities at the facilities Gantry 2, Gantry 3 and Optis.
• Leadership of clinical medical physics and therapy planning support.
• Leadership and further development of the quality assurance program for all facilities.
• Interest in the continuous modernization of the clinical program (digitalization, automation, efficiency, use of AI tools, …).
• Initiation of and contribution to strategic initiatives within the Medical Physicists Platform.
• Initiation, leadership and participation in research and development projects in part in an inter-departmental collaboration.
• Presentation of research and development results through scientific publications and contributions to national and international conferences.
