Qualifications

• PhD in CS/AI/NLP/IR or related field with post-degree industry experience.
• Experience building production document understanding systems at scale.
• Hands-on depth in extraction, classification, and knowledge representation.
• Experience bringing NLP/AI capabilities from research to production.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy semantic chunking for long legal, tax, and accounting documents.
• Build document enrichment pipelines to identify types, jurisdictions, and concepts.
• Develop multi-label classification and information extraction pipelines.
• Construct knowledge graphs across large document collections.
• Design systems to extract insights from complex tabular data embedded in docs.
• Lead technical decisions on architecture and evaluation frameworks.
• Mentor applied scientists and collaborate with engineering teams.
