ten23 health is seeking a Lead Accountant to manage financial reporting, closing and controls for the Visp entity and support other Swiss sites. You will drive ICS development, ERP improvements, and ensure accurate, timely reporting in collaboration with auditors and external advisors.

The role requires 8+ years in financial accounting, Swiss CO closing experience, and fluency in German and English. On-site presence in Visp at least three days weekly is expected.

Qualifikationen

• Swiss Federal Diploma as Specialist in Finance and Accounting preferred, or equivalent international qualification (ACCA, CPA).
• At least 8 years in financial accounting, ideally in industry or life sciences.
• Confident closing under Swiss CO with IFRS/US GAAP experience.
• Experience building and documenting an internal control system under Swiss law.
• Process improvements and ERP automation, knowledge of Business Central/Navision is an advantage.
• Excellent Excel; Power BI experience is a plus. Fluent German and English.
• Willingness to work on site in Visp at least three days per week.

As Lead Accountant, you are responsible for financial reporting, closing and controls of our Swiss entity in Visp and support our other Swiss entities. You provide functional support to accountants, develop standards and, together with the business, drive the further development of our internal control system, financial reporting and ERP processes. You will work at our Visp site at least three days per week, close to our operational teams.

Your responsibilities will include,

Closing & financial reporting

• Hold overall responsibility for the monthly, quarterly and year-end closings of our Visp entity under the Swiss Code of Obligations (CO) and prepare the group consolidation, including our other Swiss entities.
• Support our project to transition to an international accounting standard and own reporting and reconciliations under IFRS or US GAAP.
• Actively contribute to the further development of our financial reporting.
• Manage the relationship with our statutory auditors and coordinate audits for the entire group.
• Together with the accountants at our other sites, ensure VAT returns and tax closings in collaboration with external advisors.

Internal control system

• Own the concept, build-up and further development of our internal control system (ICS) under Swiss law, including the risk-control matrix and documentation.
• Act as system and process owner, define key controls and segregation of duties in Finance and in the ERP, and monitor their effective performance.
• Own the accounting policies and the accounting manual.

Processes & automation

• Own the further development of the record-to-report process in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, prioritise automation initiatives and drive their implementation hands‑on with our ERP partner.
• Improve the binding closing calendar and KPIs on closing speed and quality, and lead the related process improvements.

Leadership & projects

• Provide functional support to accountants, coach their development and ensure deputising across sites.
• Take on finance projects with full ownership.

The ideal candidate possesses:

• Swiss Federal Diploma as Specialist in Finance and Accounting (Fachfrau/Fachmann Finanz- und Rechnungswesen mit eidg. Fachausweis) – preferred – or as Fiduciary Specialist (Treuhänder:in mit eidg. Fachausweis); alternatively an equivalent international qualification (ACCA, CPA)
• At least 8 years of experience in financial accounting, ideally in industry, life sciences or other manufacturing companies.
• Confident closing under Swiss CO and hands‑on experience with IFRS or US GAAP
• Proven experience in building and documenting an internal control system under Swiss law
• Track record of process improvements and automation in ERP systems; knowledge of Business Central or Navision is an advantage
• Excellent Excel skills; experience with Power Query or Power BI is a plus
• Fluent German and very good English, both written and spoken
• Willingness to work on site in Visp at least three days per week
• Leadership without relying on hierarchy, drive to deliver and enjoyment in shaping structures
