ten23 health is seeking an experienced Lead Accountant to oversee financial reporting, closing, and controls across our Swiss entities. The role combines technical accounting with system ownership of Dynamics 365 Business Central, driving improvements and ensuring Swiss CO compliance.

You will lead closings, coordinate audits with statutory auditors, manage VAT/tax processes, and propel internal controls. Fluent German and English are essential, and on-site presence in Visp is required at least

Qualifikationen

• Experience with monthly, quarterly and year-end closings under Swiss CO
• Proven leadership or project management in finance
• Strong IFRS or US GAAP knowledge
• Experience building and documenting internal control systems under Swiss law
• ERP experience with Dynamics 365/Navision considered an advantage
• Advanced Excel; Power BI knowledge is a plus
• Fluent German and very good English, both written and spoken
• Willingness to work on site in Visp at least three days per week

As Lead Accountant, you hold overall responsibility for financial reporting, closing and controls across our Swiss entities. You provide functional leadership to accountants, set standards and drive the further development of our internal control system, financial reporting and ERP processes. You will work at our Visp site at least three days per week, close to our operational teams, and in Basel for the remaining time.

Responsibilities

• Closing & financial reporting Hold overall responsibility for monthly, quarterly and year-end closings of our Swiss entity in Visp under Swiss CO and support the group consolidation.
• Manage the relationship with our statutory auditors and coordinate audits.
• Stay on top of VAT and Tax regulations, Ensure compliance to Swiss law and prepare VAT returns and tax closings in collaboration with external advisors and the counterpart in our other legal entities.
• Internal control system Own the concept, build-up and further development of our internal control system (ICS) under Swiss law , including the risk-control matrix and documentation.
• Define key controls and segregation of duties in Finance and in the ERP and monitor their effective performance.
• Own the accounting policies and the accounting manual.
• System and Processes Owner Act as ERP System owner and lead the further development of the record-to-report process in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, prioritise automation initiatives and steer their implementation with our ERP partner.
• Establish a binding closing calendar and KPIs on closing speed and quality.
• Leadership & projects Provide technical leadership to accountants for sophisticated financial topics, support their development and ensure proper deputising.
• Deputise for the Senior Controller and lead finance projects independently.

Qualifications

• Swiss Federal Diploma as Specialist in Finance and Accounting (Fachfrau/Fachmann Finanz- und Rechnungswesen mit eidg. Fachausweis), preferred or as Fiduciary Specialist (Treuhänder:in mit eidg. Fachausweis); alternatively an equivalent international qualification (ACCA, CPA)
• At least 8 years of experience in financial accounting, ideally in industry, life sciences or audit, including proven experience in functional leadership or project management
• Confident closing under the Swiss Code of Obligations (CO) and hands‑on experience with IFRS or US GAAP
• Proven experience in building and documenting an internal control system under Swiss law
• Track record of process improvements and automation in ERP systems; knowledge of Business Central or Navision is an advantage
• Technical Leadership without relying on hierarchy, drive to deliver and enjoyment in shaping structures
• Excellent Excel skills; experience with Power Query or Power BI is a plus
• Fluent German and very good English, both written and spoken
• Willingness to work on site in Visp at least three days per week
