Ball Corporation is seeking a Start-up Engineer to lead equipment start-up, ramp-up, and line conversion efforts for can manufacturing. You will act as on-site SME, guide the team in achieving performance targets, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring safety and quality standards.

The role emphasizes hands-on training, collaboration with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams, and delivering reliable start-up performance across New Build, New Line, and Line Conversions.

Qualifikationen

• Mechanical or electrical qualification.
• Train The Trainer or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Strong knowledge of can making processes; SME in at least one area.
• Ability to transfer process knowledge to others.
• Experience with line launches or rebuild projects desirable.
• Proactive problem solving and lean basics.

Aufgaben

• Lead start-up and ramp-up of can lines; ensure design and performance.
• Provide on-site technical support during installation and commissioning.
• Act as SME for assigned process areas to drive stable, high-performance operation.
• Deliver on-the-job and classroom training to plant teams.
• Perform real-time troubleshooting and root-cause analysis during start-up.
• Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance during operations.
