Zusammenfassung

Qnity in Meyrin, Switzerland seeks a motivated Laboratory Technician to support R&D and product development in a newly established European Technical Center. The role offers an exciting chance to work in a dynamic international environment and contribute to testing, documentation, and lab operations.

You will perform mechanical and electrical tests, support high‑voltage testing, maintain SOPs, and help ship R&D samples while coordinating with global teams for timely results.

Qualifikationen

  • Technical diploma or equivalent in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 1 year laboratory/testing experience.
  • Experience with mechanical and electrical testing required.
  • High-voltage testing experience desirable.
  • Experience developing SOPs and technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with inventory and sample logistics processes.

Aufgaben

  • Perform mechanical and electrical testing of products, components, and materials.
  • Conduct and support testing involving high‑voltage equipment (preferred).
  • Perform additional thermal and environmental testing as required.
  • Prepare, maintain, and update SOPs and lab work instructions.
  • Support the preparation, packaging, and shipment of R&D samples to internal sites and external customers.
  • Manage laboratory inventory, materials, consumables, test samples and equipment.
  • Coordinate sample receipt, registration, storage and disposal.
  • Track sample reservations, requests and deliveries to ensure timely availability.
  • Maintain accurate testing records and generate test reports.
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory safety standards and procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the laboratory and technical center.

We are seeking a motivated and hands‑on Laboratory Technician to join our newly established European Technical Center in Meyrin, Switzerland. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support R&D and product development activities within a dynamic international environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform mechanical and electrical testing of products, components, and materials.
  • Conduct and support testing involving high‑voltage equipment (preferred experience).
  • Perform additional thermal and environmental testing as required.
  • Prepare, maintain, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and laboratory work instructions.
  • Support the preparation, packaging, and shipment of R&D samples to internal sites and external customers.
  • Manage laboratory inventory, including materials, consumables, test samples, and equipment.
  • Coordinate sample receipt, registration, storage, and disposal.
  • Track and manage sample reservations, requests, and deliveries to ensure timely availability.
  • Maintain accurate testing records and generate test reports.
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory safety standards and operating procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the laboratory and technical center.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Technical diploma, associate degree, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Laboratory Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of laboratory or technical testing experience.
  • Experience with mechanical and electrical testing is required.
  • Experience working with high‑voltage equipment is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of thermal testing and environmental testing methods is an advantage.
  • Experience in SOP development and technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with inventory management and sample logistics processes.
Skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with local and global teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken) is required.
  • French and/or German language skills are considered a strong advantage.
