smart-me is seeking a sales-oriented professional to service Western Switzerland (Romandy). You will be the first contact for B2B inquiries, analyze needs, and classify leads while maintaining relationships with customers and partners in the energy sector.

You will independently prepare quotes, conduct consulting meetings, and close deals. A strong CRM proficiency and fluency in French are required; German or English skills are a plus, with travel up to 50%.

As a leader in smart energy, smart-me specializes in intelligent energy management in buildings. Our in-house developed smart metering devices (meters and charging stations) enable comprehensive billing and control solutions for electricity, water, and heat via the smart-me Cloud. Together with our subsidiary eCarUp, which specializes in EV charging station management, we are revolutionizing energy technology and sustainably driving the energy transition through our daily work.

Your Responsibilities

• You will be the first point of contact for our B2B customers in Western Switzerland (via phone, email, and online meetings) and will handle all incoming inquiries professionally.
• You will analyze customer needs and consistently categorize inquiries as S, M, or L leads to optimize resource allocation.
• You will maintain the existing network of customers and partners in the energy sector, in part through direct on-site visits (travel time approx. 50%).
• You will independently prepare quotes, conduct consulting meetings, and close deals.
• You assist customers with technical inquiries and perform initial configurations to define the appropriate solution for standard needs.
• From ongoing customer contacts, you generate new leads and actively identify opportunities for upselling and/or cross-selling for our business units.
• You ensure that customer data and sales opportunities are always up-to-date and accurately maintained in our system.

Your Profile

• You have completed basic training in a business or technical field. Ideally, you have supplemented this with further training (e.g., as a technical sales representative) or, as a career changer, you bring technical knowledge to the role.
• You have a knack for selling technical products. You enjoy daily customer contact and possess the necessary drive and persistence to actively follow up on quotes and close deals.
• You work very independently, proactively identify sales opportunities, and are happy to take responsibility for your own quotes and sales figures.
• You’re comfortable using digital systems (CRM, etc.) and enjoy working in a structured manner.
• You communicate fluently and confidently in French. Additional language skills in German or English are a plus, but not required.
• Previous experience in a similar role (inside sales, telephone sales, customer service) or in project-based business is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of energy management, electric mobility, or building technology is also a plus, enabling you to provide expert advice to our customers.
• You already live in the sales territory (Romandy).
