Gunvor SA invites applications for a Junior Risk Officer to join the risk team in Genève. The role focuses on leading daily P&L and position analysis for Management and Front Office, reporting to the Risk Manager.

We seek candidates with at least 1 year in commodity trading risk, strong Excel and Python skills, and fluency in English (French a plus). You will collaborate across IT, Operations, Market Risk, and Front Office in a fast-paced trading environment.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 1 year in a similar role in the commodity trading business, preferably within a major trading house, an oil major, investment bank or hedge fund.
• Knowledge of analytics tools and technologies.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy under deadlines.
• Fluent in English; French is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Manage daily P&L and positions/exposures from trading systems.
• Perform P&L attribution and daily checks for trade integrity.
• Build and monitor in-house forward curves; reconcile with market values.
• Prepare reports for Management Board and front office.
• Back up other Risk Officers as needed.
• Support IT and Risk teams to improve information sharing.

Job Description:The Junior Risk Officer role is a member of the risk team, leading and delivering PnL and position analysis to Management and Front Office. The role reports to the Risk Manager.

Main ResponsabilitiesManage daily production and reporting of P&L , positions/exposures from trading system(s), PnL attributionManage daily checks and trade integrity completeness between desks and trading systemBuild & monitor in-house forward curves, check accuracy and consistency of forward curves vs market valuesDaily pricing exposure reconciliation with trading and operationsIn collaboration with Risk apply reserving methodology to trading P&LMonth end and year end reconciliations and reportingLiaise closely with IT, Trade Support team, Operations, Market Risk, Credit Risk, Central Finance, and Front Office.Responsible for monthly translation into accounting of trading resultsSupport in improving information sharing tools to enhance information flow to the the traders.Prepare various reports and analysis for publishing internally and to the Management Board as the case may beBack up / support for other desk’s Risk officers as the case may beETRM improvements flagging
