Gunvor S.A. is seeking a Junior Risk Officer to support daily P&L reporting, risk positions, and forward curves. You will ensure trade integrity between desks and systems, assist with month-end reconciliations, and help improve information flow to traders.

The role requires a proactive, detail-oriented candidate with Excel and Python skills, fluent English, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced commodity trading environment.

Aufgaben

• Manage daily production and reporting of P&L, positions/exposures from trading systems.
• 2. Build and monitor in-house forward curves and compare against market values.
• 3. Reconcile daily pricing exposure with trading and operations.
• 4. Apply reserving methodology to trading P&L month-end and year-end reconciliations.
• 5. Liaise with IT, Trade Support, Operations, Market Risk, Credit Risk, Finance, and Front Office.
• 6. Translate trading results into accounting entries monthly.
• 7. Improve information sharing tools to enhance trader communication.
• 8. Prepare internal and Management Board reports as needed.
• 9. Back up other desks' risk officers when required.
• 10. Flag ETRM improvements.

Job Title: Junior Risk Officer

Contract Type: Time Type: Full time

Main Responsibilities

• Manage daily production and reporting of P&L, positions/exposures from trading system(s), PnL attribution
• Manage daily checks and trade integrity completeness between desks and trading system
• Build & monitor in-house forward curves, check accuracy and consistency of forward curves vs market values
• Daily pricing exposure reconciliation with trading and operations
• In collaboration with Risk apply reserving methodology to trading P&L Month end and year end reconciliations and reporting
• Liaise closely with IT, Trade Support team, Operations, Market Risk, Credit Risk, Central Finance, and Front Office.
• Responsible for monthly translation into accounting of trading results
• Support in improving information sharing tools to enhance information flow to the traders.
• Prepare various reports and analysis for publishing internally and to the Management Board as the case may be
• Back up / support for other desk’s Risk officers as the case may be
• ETRM improvements flagging

Profile

• Minimum 1 year in a similar role in the commodity trading business, preferably within a major trading house, an oil major, investment bank or hedge fund
• Curious and proactive, rigorous and meticulous
• Knowledge of analytics tools and technologies.
• Good knowledge in Microsoft Excel and Python
• Eagerness to learn
• Strong entrepreneurial spirit, naturally curious and proactive
• Excellent attention to detail; rigorous and meticulous
• Strong interpersonal skills
• High degree of accuracy and efficiency under set deadlines
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken, French is a plus
