Job summary

Société Générale Corporate Investment Banking in Zurich is seeking an Intern Junior Legal Counsel to support the Swiss Legal team. The role focuses on Swiss banking law, regulatory risk assessment and drafting for complex financial products in a cross-border context.

You will collaborate with multiple business lines and international colleagues to ensure compliant documentation and timely advisory on regulatory developments.

Qualifications

• Swiss law Bachelor and Master of Law graduate with very good academics.
• First practical experience with bank and financial services legal matters, especially structured products and debt securities.
• Experience in debt instruments issuance program documentation is a plus.
• In-house experience in investment banking or financial services environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Draft documentation for issuance of certificates and warrants, including term sheets and final terms.
• Draft and negotiate distribution agreements, NDAs, and related documents.
• Manage production of legal documentation and standardization of templates.
• Advise business lines on legal and regulatory risks across products and services, especially structured products and cash management.
• Provide Swiss legal advice to teams in respect of Swiss law aspects of international financial services and data protection.
• Conduct legal research on new developments and prepare analyses and guidance for stakeholders.
