Job summary

UBS Corporate Banking Legal Switzerland in Zürich seeks a qualified lawyer to advise on complex financing transactions and related legal matters. You will support lending, leasing, trade finance and cash management solutions, coordinate with stakeholders and external counsel, and help drive strategic legal initiatives.

The role requires a Swiss law degree with bar admission and 2–5 years’ PQE, fluent German and English, and a collaborative, proactive approach in a fast-paced banking environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Law and Swiss Bar admission.
• 2–5 years post-qualification experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal department.
• Strong interest in banking and finance law with willingness to develop across corporate topics.
• Good knowledge of Swiss contract and commercial law; banking/finance experience is a plus.
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional communication.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
• Full professional proficiency in German and English; French/Italian a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide pragmatic, business-oriented legal advice to UBS Corporate Banking in Switzerland.
• Advise on lending, leasing, trade finance and cash management solutions.
• Support structuring and execution of transactions and manage legal/regulatory risks.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, control functions and external counsel on strategic projects.
