Zusammenfassung

Hilo by Aktiia is hiring a Junior Data Engineer to scale a Databricks‑based medallion lakehouse from R&D into a company‑wide data platform. You will ingest, centralize, validate, and document clinical and operational data, collaborating with Senior Data Engineer and cross‑functional teams.

You’ll work on preprocessing pipelines, data quality standards, and observability while using Python, SQL, and Databricks in a hybrid setup with regular presence in Neuchâtel.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field.
• At least 1+ year of practical post-study experience in data engineering or data infrastructure.
• Solid hands-on experience with Python and SQL and practical experience with Databricks.
• Familiar with cloud environments, ideally AWS.
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT design, data ingestion patterns, and data modeling.
• Experience with Git, code reviews, CI/CD, or testing practices.
• Experience with Spark, Delta Lake, or Parquet is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Ingest, centralize, document clinical data from multiple sources (EDC platforms, databases, archives).
• Build preprocessing and ETL/ELT pipelines for model-ready datasets used by Data Science and ML teams.
• Develop and maintain data lakehouse pipelines on Databricks and ensure data quality and validation.
• Implement observability, logging, and basic monitoring for pipelines and contribute to shared codebase practices.
• Collaborate with Senior Data Engineer, ML Engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to scale the data platform.
