Decentriq in Zürich/Berlin is seeking a Senior Software / Data Engineer to own end-to-end data pipelines built in Python (pandas) and Spark, deployed in Databricks or on Spark clusters inside confidential enclaves.

The role offers fully remote options (±4h CET) or a base in our Zürich/Berlin offices, with collaboration across data scientists, Rust backend engineers, and product teams to push privacy-preserving ML for AdTech forward.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor/Master/PhD in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field and 5+ years of experience.
• Expert-level Python with pandas, PySpark/Scala Spark, and distributed-data processing.
• Proven track record building resilient, production-grade data pipelines with data-quality checks.
• Experience running workloads in Databricks, Spark on Kubernetes, or other cloud/on-prem big-data platforms.
• Plus: ML lifecycle knowledge and privacy-preserving tech; Rust is a plus.
• Plus: data-platform skills like operating Spark clusters and orchestration frameworks.

Aufgaben

• Own, design & operate data pipelines based on pandas and Spark from development to production.
• Advance ML models for AdTech use-cases (look-alike, audience expansion, measurement).
• Engineer for the invisible: build validation, test coverage, and self-healing jobs.
• Collaborate with data scientists, backend engineers (Rust) and product teams.
• Leverage AI tools to improve productivity and share workflows with the team.
• Profile, benchmark, and tune Spark workloads; improve orchestration & observability.
