Unique AI is seeking a Junior Accountant to join our Finance team in Zürich. The role covers accounting operations, reporting, and cross-functional coordination in a fast-paced start-up environment.

You will handle AP/AR in Dynamics 365 BC, manage expenses, prepare Swiss P&L, support consolidation for global affiliates, and ensure VAT and statutory compliance. Hybrid work with remote days.

Qualifikationen

• 3 years' hands-on accounting or financial controlling experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics, or relevant apprenticeship.
• Strong analytical skills translating data into clear insights.

• Fluent German and English; French/Italian a plus.
• Experience in Treuhandbüro is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is desirable.

Aufgaben

• Process A/P and A/R invoices in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Expense management (e.g., company credit cards, invoices).
• Prepare timely and accurate P&L for the Swiss entity.
• Ensure data accuracy and clarity of numbers and figures.
• Take ownership of reporting, planning, budgeting and controlling within the Finance team.
• Support company consolidation activities.
• Coordinate external accounting partners for non-Swiss subsidiaries (NY, London, Berlin, Singapore).
• Responsible for treasury management and related tasks.
• Ensure VAT, insurance requirements, and local statutory obligations compliance.
• Admin tasks for Finance and People & Culture, plus office management.

Job Requirements

• ~3 year experience: hands-on experience in accounting or financial controlling, ideally in a dynamic or growth-oriented environment


• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics, or a completed relevant commercial apprenticeship


• Strong analytical capabilities: able to translate data into clear, accurate, and relevant insights


• Proven entrepreneurial mentality: strong business-oriented decision-making skills with a balanced approach to speed vs. risk with a bias towards impact


• Collaborative team player with demonstrated ability to build trust, communicate openly and effectively with stakeholders across levels and to collaborate across functions


• Hands-on approach: pragmatic and \"roll-up-your-sleeves\" mentality, handling adjacent tasks as needed (incl. operational & admin tasks)


• Languages: Fluent in written and spoken German & English (French and or Italian language skills are a plus)


• Experience in a \"Treuhandbüro\" (accounting company) is a plus

• Ensure compliance with VAT, insurance requirements, local statutory obligations, etc.

People, Office, and Cross-Functional Support: administrative tasks for the Finance and People & Culture teams, as well as for general office management
