• Solid knowledge of Windows 10/11 administration and troubleshooting.

• Basic networking understanding: LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, TCP/IP.
• Experience configuring laptops/desktops/printers/phones.
• Strong troubleshooting and customer‑focused approach.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with remote teams.

Jobbeschreibung

The IT Support Specialist is responsible for providing reliable day-to-day IT support for employees in Optotune Switzerland and ensuring the smooth operation of workplace technology. The role focuses on end-user support, device management, Microsoft 365 administration, onboarding and offboarding, and local IT operations.

Working closely with the central Infrastructure Team in Slovakia, the IT Support Specialist acts as the primary local IT contact and provides hands-on assistance for infrastructure activities when required. The position contributes to delivering a stable, secure, and efficient IT environment while following company standards and procedures.

Tasks

• Provide first- and second-level IT support for hardware, software, Microsoft 365, printers, mobile devices, and workplace technology
• Prepare and configure laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and accessories for new employees and manage onboarding and offboarding activitie
• Administer Microsoft 365 user accounts, licenses, group memberships, and support applications such as Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint
• Maintain meeting room equipment, printers, and other office IT systems to ensure reliable daily operation
• Perform basic troubleshooting of LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and endpoint connectivity issues, escalating complex incidents to the central Infrastructure Team when necessary
• Maintain accurate IT asset inventory and coordinate hardware lifecycle activities, including replacements and warranty repairs
• Coordinate with local IT vendors and service providers for hardware repairs, equipment deliveries, and on-site support activities
• Provide hands-on support for infrastructure equipment, cabling, and other local IT tasks under the guidance of the central Infrastructure Team
• Maintain technical documentation, asset records, and support tickets in accordance with company procedures
• Follow company IT policies, cybersecurity requirements, and established support processes while contributing to continuous service improvement

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in IT support, service desk, or a similar technical support role
• Good knowledge of Windows 10/11 administration and troubleshooting
• Practical experience with Microsoft 365 applications and user administration
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), or Active Directory
• Basic understanding of computer networking, including LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and TCP/IP concepts
• Experience configuring and supporting laptops, desktops, printers, and mobile devices
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a customer-focused approach
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with remote colleagues

Preferred Skills (Advantageous)

• Experience working in an international or multi-site company
• Knowledge of meeting room technologies
• Experience with IT asset management or ticketing systems
• Basic knowledge of server hardware, networking equipment, or IT infrastructure environments
• Experience supporting Microsoft Intune-managed devices
