Job summary

Viseca Payment Services SA in Bioggio near Lugano seeks an IT Security Engineer to join the Security Architecture & Operations team. You will review designs, define security requirements, and implement controls across cloud, network, and applications to ensure secure and resilient platforms.

You will work with infrastructure, cloud, and development teams, perform threat modelling, security assessments, and drive Secure by Design and Zero Trust initiatives, with on-call duties beyond standard

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in IT Security, Security Engineering, Network Security, Application Security or Cloud Security.
• Understanding of modern security frameworks and methodologies, including NIST CSF, Zero Trust, and Defence-in-Depth.
• Hands-on experience implementing and managing enterprise security technologies, security architecture principles, and secure engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Review architectures and solution designs to ensure security principles and standards are met.
• Define security requirements and recommend risk-based security controls for projects.
• Engineer, maintain, and optimize enterprise security technologies (SIEM, EDR/XDR, IAM/PAM, vulnerability management, endpoint, network, cloud).
• Develop and maintain security architecture standards, reference architectures, and implementation guidelines.
• Conduct security assessments, threat modelling, and technical risk analyses.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, operations, cloud, and development teams to embed security into platforms and processes.
• Support investigation and resolution of security incidents and technical security issues.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and drive continuous improvement of security capabilities.
• Promote Secure by Design, Zero Trust, and Defence in Depth principles across the enterprise.
