Job summary

The Swiss National Supercomputing Centre (CSCS) in Lugano is seeking two Information Security Engineers to strengthen security operations for its Secure Computing Environment. These two-year contracts focus on protecting services, infrastructure and research environments across a tightly controlled perimeter.

You will collaborate with infrastructure, platform and application teams to enhance monitoring, detection and response capabilities, extend logging, and drive secure software delivery in

Qualifications

• Several years of hands-on experience in security operations or security engineering.
• Strong knowledge of security monitoring, threat detection, incident response and security investigations
• Experience with SIEM technologies (Wazuh or comparable platforms).
• Solid understanding of the MITRE ATT&CK framework and modern adversary TTPs.
• Proven experience with vulnerability management processes and tools.
• Experience securing Kubernetes and containerised environments.
• Solid Linux skills and scripting/automation (Python or similar).
• Fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and improve security controls across the infrastructure.
• Monitor and respond to security incidents using SIEM platforms and other tools.
• Extend monitoring to the Secure Computing Environment, manage logs and audits.
• Conduct threat hunting and security investigations using MITRE ATT&CK.
• Lead and coordinate vulnerability management and risk assessment.
• Secure containerised environments and Kubernetes-based platforms.
• Develop and maintain security monitoring and automation capabilities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to mitigate security risks.
• Promote security awareness across the organisation.
