LGT is seeking an IT Security Engineer to help protect and further develop applications, cloud services, infrastructure and workplace environments. The role combines hands-on security engineering with consulting, automation and AI to make security smarter, faster and more scalable.

You will work with architects, engineers, developers, risk functions and business teams to turn security requirements into practical solutions that work in real life— not just on paper.

Qualifikationen

• Several years of IT security engineering or cloud security experience.
• Experience with security-by-design and risk-based decision-making.
• Strong English; German is an advantage.

Aufgaben

• Advise project, product and platform teams on secure architecture, design and implementation.
• Perform security-by-design reviews for applications, cloud services and critical systems.
• Design, implement, and enhance security controls across firewall, secure web access, VPN, endpoint, DLP, PAM, cloud security, and identity, while ensuring their reliable operation as part of a DevOps delivery model.
• Support evaluations, PoCs and rollouts of new security products and services.
• Use automation, scripting and AI-enabled tools to improve recurring security processes, analysis, documentation and control effectiveness.
• Contribute to security standards, policies, KPIs, reporting and risk-based decision-making.
• Support incident handling, troubleshooting and root-cause analysis where security engineering expertise is needed.
• Work closely with infrastructure, development, operations, governance and risk teams.
